In recent years, the occupying state has escalated the submission of master plans related to the expansion of settlements to unprecedented levels, reaching its peak in 2024 with the introduction of a total of 173 plans targeting the settlements of the West Bank and Jerusalem. He pointed out that this committee studied 23,461 settlement units through the plans, which resulted in the approval of the construction of 8,800 new settlement units, and the deposit of a total of 14,661 settlement units for subsequent approval. These plans targeted a total of 14,982 dunums of Palestinian land in various governorates of the West Bank, including Jerusalem.

Since the beginning of 2024, the occupation authorities have issued 34 construction tenders for the purpose of building 1,039 new settlement units, targeting different colonies in the West Bank in varying proportions. While the Kochav Yaakov settlement in the Ramallah Governorate received the largest housing units in terms of tenders, followed by the Karnei Shomron settlement on the lands of the Salfit and Qalqilya Governorates with 82 settlement units, the other tenders took the form of buildings for different purposes, such as establishing 5 gas distribution stations, in addition to 6 multi-use commercial buildings.
